A minute of two after the final horn I walked off the field and started talking to a parent about two call on his son. During this conversation the asst. coach, whom I gave a one-minute unspotrtsmanlike during the game, started berating me about calls during the game. The NFHS and NCAA rules say my jurisdiction ends when I leave the "field of play." Is there any way to penalize the coach?

My question is, what are you still doing on the field? Go away, don't talk to parents about your call. There really is nothing you can do. I guess technically you could have given him another USC and eject him. But you should have never gotten in this situation in the first place.

Still a no no, some idiot is always going to aruge with you about somthing. If you want to teach parents do it BEFORE the game, ask them if they have any questions. Ask the coaches if they want to take 5 minutes to answer questions from parents. But leave the field immediately after the game. Don't make yourself availible to ask questions.
