Have any of you heard of Warriors new shaft called the Powermaster? I'm just wondering how you feel about the legality.

Well, what is it you ask?

It's a training shaft that is weighted.
Goalie: 6lbs
Middie: 4lbs
Defense: 8lbs

What do you think?

It sounds that the shafts would be about how heavy a wood shaft would be only that it would not break as easily as a wood shaft. I would not have a problem with these types of shafts. Most players would not use them though because the velocity of the head would be reduced and it would be harder to clear the ball etc. The only thing is that when some one does land a stick check it will have more heft behind it.

The only thing that I could think of that may make this type of stick illegal is if it uses some weight in it that is not attached to the shaft (i.e. sand in the shaft). I don’t think it would use some thing like this.
