I've been looking for the opportunity to chat with fellow officials from Missouri. I'm in the process of getting connected with associations as this is my first year in Missouri since working football and basketball while living in Springfield from '91-'95.

I'm excited to get this season underway. I spent three years working baseball in Virginia before having to work retail the next three - which meant NO officiating. No I have a job that provides very flexible working hours that will allow me to get back into officiating.

Part Two:

I still consider myself young when it comes to officiating, even though I'm 41. I started out working Football in the Springfield area from '91-'95 then I moved to Illinois. I continued to work football for another two years, but began working both baseball and basketball for two years afterwards. I took some time off due to work and graduate school before getting back into baseball after a move to Virginia. I was able to get with a very good association and got some much needed training.

Right now, I live in Harrisonville and will be working basketball (got in late), baseball, and possibly football. Even though I'm getting in late, I still thought it would be to my advantage to go ahead and try to get as much work in as I could so as to make it easier when next season rolls around. Plus, I think I can pick up some rec ball locally with my certification.
