I am interested to hear some great lines from your interaction with coaches. The discussion on the forum regarding responses to coaches has me thinking about my next article for Officiating.com. Please send me some of the great lines you have heard come from the touchline. I have a running list started and I feel an all-time best rating coming for "You heard it here".....

Official: Nah. That'd be too much of a coincidence!

I remembered another one:

Coach: How are you going to call holding today?

Official: I'm going to throw my flag, and then go like this with my hands.

These are just some things coming from the stands.

"How could you not call a travel?? He got air miles on that one!!!"

"You're not a bad ref, you're just not very good."

And then you've got the classic

Fan: "Hey ref you're missing a good game!!!"

Ref: "I know but I got assigned this one instead"

During a really bad game a fan said to me during a timeout "Who did you piss off to get this game!" I never laughed so hard on the court in my life!
