Okay, I'm here to finally get some consistancy in wing spotting. I've been told that if the ball is between the hashes or in the opposite outside zone, face the center of the field with feet side-by-side. If the play ends in my zone, give the ump one foot down field. This doesn't seem right because the wings are not consistant, so I think it looks sloppy. Is this the correct the mechanic?

I always give the umpire the downfield foot, no matter where the ball is.

Ball starts at center of field. A34 runs to my side as HL, gets tackled. I have"primary" spot, set both feet together with nose of ball on my downfield foot. LJ "shadows" my primary. Run or pass up the gut, we both come in towards hashes and work off each other.....
