That's where our U stands on all tries. I wonder if the task is given to the BJ because the U is supposed to make sure the snapper isn't hit--and it makes sure the BJ keeps his head in the game.

Common sense should prevail here.

Talking to a couple other crews in our org shows that the timing is pretty consistent, and they split between whether it's the R or BJ. Although we did have a game on TV the other night where the ball was bouncing across the track before a whistle went off. But that was probably just some fluke. Maybe a sunflower seed went into the whistle when he first tried to blow it.
