That is correct, that is, until we get to the playoffs. It is then that our assinine state association gets skimpy and refuses to pay for five officials in 3A and down. In my area we work 5 man all year unless we have an 8-man game, and even then we often take 5 and either the school bucks up or we work for less. However, when we get to the playoffs the same crews that have worked 9-10 games with 5, have to go to 4 and work a more important game, makes absolutely no sense.
