Here's something and old state tourney clinician told us at a class for new officials about 10 years ago:

Remember these 3 guidelines for calling a foul (in order of priority):

1) Did it affect player safety.
2) Did it affect the outcome of the play.
3) Did it affect the flow of the game.

I try to use this for every call... it seems to keep me from calling ticky-tack fouls!
