Kick Catching Interference
4th and 8 from Bs 40.
K3 punts the ball to R22 R22 signals for a fair catch on Rs15. While attempting to catch the punt/scrimmage kick R22 signals for a legal fair catch. K33 hits R22 before the ball arrives. R22 muffs the ball and R31 recovers the ball at Rs8 yardline Flag for Kick Catch Interference What are the options and enforcement?

1. Result of the play (decline the penalty)
2. Awarded Fair Catch at the spot of the foul. 3. Enforce 15 Yards against the kicking team and replay the down. Peace

What Rut said. I'll also add that the awarded fair catch is an enforcement option whether or not the receiver signals for a fair catch.
