Referees for the Big One?

Who will blow the whistle for the champ game?

LDUB Wed Dec 26, 2007 12:54pm

Jon Bible will be the referee.

johnSandlin Wed Dec 26, 2007 01:13pm

That would mean the champ game crew is coming from the Big 12 conference this year.

What game is the Big Ten working and who is the R assigned to work?

TXMike Wed Dec 26, 2007 01:31pm

Big Ten games and the R:

Orange Bill Lemonnier
Gator John O' Neil
Texas David Witvoet
New Orleans Dan Capron

johnSandlin Wed Dec 26, 2007 04:38pm

I am assuming Witvoet is working the Cotton Bowl when you metioned Texas or is he working the Sugar Bowl?

Either way, that is cool that the Big Ten is getting good and quality representation in the Bowl games this year.

TXMike Wed Dec 26, 2007 06:53pm

Cotton is worked by the ACC this year. Texas Bowl is Texas Bowl.

johnSandlin Wed Dec 26, 2007 07:43pm

Thanks for the clarification TXMike. Appreciate it.

Quick is the Umpire.
Oliver is the LJ
Miles is the BJ.
Bible is the R

In the Championship game.

forgot the rest.

Any idea who the R is? Jack Childress?

My friend, that I wrote of earlier this year that worked the FSU at BC game, was the white hat for the Motor City Bowl last night.

Which SEC officials are working the Games?

Steve Shaw and who else

Your friend looks very young, must be doing something right to be a "R" in a bowl game at that age! Congrats to him.

I thought the crew for the Motor City Bowl did an outstanding job and what a wild game it was.

Ron Cherry has the Cotton Bowl.

Childress does not have a bowl this year

Not even 40 and doing an excellent job. Only his third year in D1. I'll pass along the congrats.

That makes sense. I had forgotten that Childress worked the ACC Championship game.

Did any other ACC crews get bowl games?
