Too much can be hazardous to your health
Well, it was bound to happen.
Not sure where I was but I must have been asleep as I didn't know until I read my local paper today that the OSU players (Ted Ginn) injury was caused during the excessive celebration that took place after he ripped off that opening TD run. Call it a freaky way to get hurt but maybe one will think twice about doing something like this in the future. Beside, it will save a flag from me ![]() |

same thing happened to Luis Castillo for the Chargers after a sack. Twisted his ankle during the celebration dance and ended up missing a few games. Does anyone really think these few problems are going to stop the idiots from, well, making themselves look like idiots?

I was working a game once where the punter simulated as if he was roughed. I had never seen that foul called and I didn't want to be the first one to ever call it. It was obvious that he wasn't even touched but he flopped to the ground and injured himself. From then on, any time a kicker tries to act I walk by and remind them that simulating being roughed is a foul.

Bu I can hope that at the lower levels some coaches and players saw what happened and how easy it could occur to one of them in future seasons. |

The best self-injury I have seen: Gus Frerotte. It must be beyond a QB's mental ability to understand that walls are hard. |

What ever happened to tossing the official the ball and acting like you expected to score?
Plus jumping up and down or any other antic for making a simple tackle? I guess it's to fire up the crowd or something. But is does cause my gag reflex to act up once in a while.h ![]() |
