I live in Eastern NC an I am interested in becoming a high school/youth football official for the 2006 season. I was wondering where to start? I do have a football background and have coached youth football(Pop Warner) for the past 5 years. I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction!
Thank you!

Too late for this year as you say. What you might want to do is go to the high school games in your area, EARLY, find the crew, tell them you are thinking about becoming an official and ask to sit in on the pre-game etc.
They will be able to give you the info you need. And you will start with some contacts in the association.
Otherwise get in contact with the State Association
