A1 takes the snap and is under a heavy rush. He throws a forward pass from behind the NZ to A2 who catches the ball behind the NZ and as A2's being tackled throws a pass to ineligible A3 who catches the second pass beyond the NZ. Ruling and enforcement please!

Illegal forward pass, 5 yards from the spot of the foul (where the second pass was thrown), loss of down.

I believe you can only have ineligible downfield on a LEGAL forward pass.

Agree, can't have OPI in this case because the pass is illegal, as stated 5 yard spot foul + loss of down.
