nfhs case book plays

in 2005 nfhs csae book 3.7.3 a/b appear to be in error.
a.
ball is on b12's 12 yard line and sub b12 replaces b2. prior to ball becoming alive b2 leaves the field thru the endzone across b's side line and continues to team box

b. b12 seeing that he will be unable to replace b2 before ball is snapped, returns to his team box.

are these fouls.
