One of our members is being recognized for saving a life.
It appears we have a hero in our midst. Dylan Ferguson, an IHSA official will be featured on WGN's Steve Cochran show, Saturday (I think 4/2/05) at around 10:05 am. He will be honored as the "Kid of the Week". Last summer Dylan helped to save a baseball players life who had been struck in the chest and whose heart had stopped. Dylan used the defibrilator to start the players heart and saved his life. Dylan neglected to tell his mom until sometime this winter because he did not think it was a big deal and that"someone had to do it." Dylan is also one of the youngest patched officials in the state of Illinois.
Great job Dylan.
