Remember the Titans

Remember the Titans was on Disney last night and in it, the officials wore these really snappy black and white striped caps.

Did those caps really exist and have any of you been around long enough to have worn them or have seen them?

Never saw them but the next time I see an official with yellowing on both his knickers and the white stripes on his shirt I'll be sure to look up at the cap.
