This chat room requires Java to be installed.

Just a heads up in case you're fed up with Internet snoops and choose to not run Java apps, like me.

For anyone that works in IT or knows a lot about computers, I used to have Java enabled on my computer, but then I don't know what happened, but I can no longer run any Java stuff in Internet Explorer.

I'm running Windows 98 with IE 6.0

Does anyone know how to re enable the Java thing, or should I just re-install internet explorer??

Julian,

It may be able to fix your PC without re-installing, but that is likely more trouble than it's worth. I'd just re-install the JRE (Java Runtime Engine) available from Sun.

Try Firefox. It's a free download and gives you much more control over your browser than IE offers. I could go on extolling its virtues but you can read it for yourself.
