Play verification:
Quarterback drops back to pass, loses balance. Puts throwing hand down to ground to steady himself and ball is dislodged. Play continues and fumble is ruled. Correct since no other part of body (other than hand or foot) touched ground first? This would be an example where the ground can cause the fumble? Second question... forward pass beyond line of scrimmage intercepted and returned for touchdown. Penalty for illegal forward pass is declined and touchdown stands. Correct?? Thanks for any help. |
