Cool

JV game, A is late for the coin toss no big deal. later in the game B is called for DPI(face guarding), good call. Coach yells that he was beat and was just running back to the receiver (with hands up, and not looking for the ball).
5 minutes later, after a score by A. B's coach wants a conference.

apparently he wanted a flag for A being late for coin toss, and then the DPI was BS, there is no face guarding in HS, worst call ever in his life. "coach, If he would of turned around he would have intercepted the ball" (hit the guy in the back of the helmet). Nonsense, that a BS call, I have been a JV coach for 12 years and I know guys screwed up. At that point I told our WH we had heard enough, and we walked away with the coach still b*tching

Gotta love coaches who don't know the rules. I wish I had a photographic memory so my retort could be "Coach, case book, 7-5-10C, look it up, it's the only PI without contact". Don't know if that would shut them up, but if you could quote the books on their first argument of the game, maybe they would say to themselves "damn, I'm not argueing anything else with that guy"

We've got one of those around. It doesn't help at all. Just makes him look arrogant.
He really knows his stuff though!

"JV coach for 12 years, huh? Boy - you're on the fast track! Maybe we can get you officials that have only done JV ball for 12 years so we can match up skill levels for you."

Maybe it is just frustration of being a JV coach for twelve years.

Don't you hope it can be thirteen?

Like I said before:

Butthead JV coaches are in training to become bigger buttheads when they move up to varsity.

Maybe this guy isn't a big enough butthead yet.
