Question

NHFS rule: a forward handoff is illegal when it occurs beyond the NZ. Situation A: a1 hands the ball to a2 and then proceeds to block. a1 then turns back to a 5yds beyond NZ and takes the ball from a2. illegal right.
Situation B: A runs veer offense. A1 puts the ball into A2's stomach and rides him past the line of scrimmage, never actually removing his hands from A2 (joint carry?). at this point (5yds beyond NZ) A1 is now in fornt of A2 and takes the ball and runs. is this illegal?
