Unhappy

Fellow Stripes,

I did not receive a Case Book this year when I got my package from the MHSAA. Is this something we have to purchase now? It's no big expense I realize, but it came in handy last year (my rookie season), and I wondered if Michigan was the only state where it was not part of the registration renewal.

I received the 2004 Case Book with my WIAA (Wisconsin) packet, along with Rule book, and Officials Handbook. I think in WI we have to purchase the illustrated case book separate.

if im not mistaken in mi casebooks are going to be distributed every other year as a cost cutting solution.

Not sure who's costs are being cut.
Out my way, we pay dues to the chapter which in turn pays dues to the state who in turn buys in bulk these manuals from NF publishing.
Book costs are factored into our chapter dues.

If they should decide to not buy a book, I would want a refund

As luck has it, this year NF as put the FB casebook on-line at their site. There are some requirements to be meet before anyone can access it, but at least for those who don't get one every year, they can see the new interpretations. I think this year, there are around 35 changed or new plays in the main section.

Thumbs up Yes, go to the NFHS website...

Just as Theisy suggested, go to the NFHS website and print the current year interpretations. They were posted 8/5/04 the last time I checked.

Then I would stick those in your 2003 case book and you should be ready to go.

I would suggest checking the NFHS web-site every so often. One year they updated the interpretations twice (it was related to the PSK rules last year).
