Washington State uses the 25 yd. line to start OT.If the game is still tied after two OT's then we move the teams to the ten. Believe it or not, in 23 years of HS ball, I have never had an overtime game. Twice in semi-pro, but none in HS.

Ohio uses the 20 yard line to start.

NFHS

LA - 10 yard line

We also have to have a try after any score during a live ball play; no matter what the score is.

LHSAA uses this for the power point system to determine playoff brackets.

REPLY: NJ uses the NCAA OT procedure (1-10 from B's 25; B can score on turnover).

Bob, can Team-B score on a blocked kick TRY, or short TRY/FG attempt caught in the EZ?

REPLY: As tpaul said, no Tom, they can't. The regular Fed "playing" rules prevail in OT. It's just that we use the NCAA procedure in extra periods.

Canadian Overtime

Coin toss at centre ice, visitor's choice.

Winner can choose to start on offense, defense, or choose which end of the field to play at. Other team chooses remaining option.

Start with 1D/10 at the 35 and play regular football. Each team gets a series from the same 35. If you score more points than the other team, you win. The defense scoring ends the game. No timeouts.
