Thanks for the info. As to where I got my orignal cap, I am sure I got it through mail order but from where I do not recall.
I work out of Portland Oregon and I am sure you were wondering so the answer is no, I have never worked a game of 12 player, 3-down, 120 yard football in my life. But I would be open to the opportunity if you would like to swap assignments sometime. What do you say, eh!
PS I have good friends in Edmonton who enjoy Eskimo football, snow and the beer eh!

I know that the black caps with whipe piping are in style now-a-days, but what on earth would you need one of those awful white hats for. ;)

ref18, I don't know why people get them mixed up. Brantford is my home town. It is also the hometown of the greatest hockey player of all time, Wayne Gretzky. Brampton is home to ????????????

I have never worked 12 player, 3 down, 120-yard football either! But I have worked said with 110-yard fields. ;)

Plus two 20-yard endzones, makes 150 yards total. Pretty big eh?

Didn't Edmonton get hit with snow recently?

I always get these two places confused. I tend to have a problem with any set of two streets or two cities that sound alike. My memory isn't very good at all. That's why I can never remember who is in fould trouble or which team is close to or into the bonus. ;)

Never mind with that question either. HOF stands for Hall of Fame. Wow, I must really be tired, if I can't understand that. I've actually never been to the hall of fame, I should try and get there some time.

I completely misread the play. Now i just have to write a response that actually goes with said play. For some reason, i thought that the OPI occured behind the line of scrimmage, but it didn't so here's the ruling I found.

Rule 6 Section 4, Article 10

Penalty: 1

By Team A- Loss of 15 yards and repeat the down.

There are also some possible options, but I need to know the outcome of the pass to give those.

I think I'd need a bit more information as to the outcome of the pass, was it incomplete or completed and if it was caught, then by whom??

Mike, there was another thing I wanted to ask you, I'm in the process of looking for universities to go to next September, and Waterloo is one of my top choices, I'm just wondering exactly how much basketball or football goes on down there to officiate???

My vote goes to Gordie Howe who did it when there were only 6 teams, not the current watered-down version of the NHL.

My friend Chris and I both do basketball and this one ALWAYS gets us: I mean ALWAYS!!!

In b-ball, as you know, a double foul, is a pair of "offsetting" fouls committed by opponents against each other. Or, in looser terms, a play with fuls by both teams. In football, a play with fouls by both teams is called a dual foul. And in football, a double fouol is a play with two fouls committed by the SAME team.

I have to consciously remember that distinction.

Gordie was good. No arguement here. Gretzky even modelled his # 99 after Howe's # 9. He's even said that Gordie was his hockey player idol. There's a famous pic with a young Gretzky (I'd guess at about age 12) with Howe in his Red Wings jersey.

However, the NHL of today is not like the NHL of the late 70s and 80s, which was Gretzky's dominate years.

Not sure if you get ESPN Classic Canada (why would you), but when they show olde school Edmonton games - I can remember watching some of those games live and seeing Gretzky play those games again makes me laugh. It some cases, it seems like a man playing with boys.

Aw, you shoulda gave options if the pass was attempted after and before the LS.
