We generally do introduce everyone, but I tend to vapor lock on one guy's name and have to pause and think or make something up (Mr. Markbreit or Mr. Dreith I usually insert). I'm thinking of dropping it as the kids don't care in the slightest and they're usually announced anyway.
One of our old timers (ahem, esteemed veteran) doesn't introduce the other guys and I kind of like that. As another aside, do you (R's and U's) introduce yourselves to the captains on the sideline before you walk out and say 'good luck today/tonight' or any other pleasantry? |

Got me to thinking, why do I introduce the other officials, or, even myself? Captains don't care!
Last season I eliminated all the b-----t about their responsibility and equal nonsense. Next season, my talk will be quick. Good evening captains, XXXX you are the visiting team. I have a coin, heads and tails; that coin will be tossed in the air, call it while it is in the air. |

Ed, I totally agree with you. Not to brag but I completed my 45th year of officiating football last year. I haven't introduced officials in years. My agenda is the same as yours, except, I have the captain give me his choice before I toss the coin. Remember the NFL controversy a couple years back when there was a dispute about the call.
