Are there any officials from the state of NC who can help me with finding a booking agent?

I live near Statesville, and do not know if I should look in Charlotte, or more towards Greensboro. I will be a first year offocial this fall.

Thanks for any help you can give.

My GUESS is that you would be books out of the North State Association in Greensboro. While you're a good drive from Greensboro, the North State is the largest association in the state. I would try them first.

You can find info for all football booking agents in NC at:

The North State Officials Association booking agent is Len Reynolds. He is located in Greensboro, however there is a group of North State officials in Statesville who hold rules clinics in Statesville. Len's number is 336-282-5509. Dean Burgess is one of the Statesville Clinic leaders - 704-662-0963 (H) or 800-487-1232 (W). Are you wanting to begin officiating or are you experienced and moving to the area? Either way, best of luck. I have been a member of Northe State for over 20 years. It is a great organization.

I know a couple of your guys. One works AF2 and D3 ball, lives near Burlington. The other, B.C., lives near Asheboro. Do you recognize either with those small details?

In general, to become a full member of North State, you must have 2 years of sub-varsity experience. You can join as an associate member and be assignes to JV games and varsity games as a clock operator. I am almost certain that you would also be able to middles school and rec games which are assigne locally in Statesville. I am sure that Dean can fill you in on all the details. We are always happy to hve new members. Footballl officiating can be one of the best experiences you will ever have. Best of luck!

Yep, LI is the one I'm thinking of. Working an AF2 game last year, when his wife went into labor.
