NCAA rules.
I was watching the bowl games last night and got to wondering, what would happen if an XP or FG were to hit the camera thatis attatched to the cross bar? Obivously, if it goes through, it is good. BUt if it bounces back, is this counted or is it considered part of the crossbar? Is this just something you deal wiht when games are on TV because it does make the area to kick in smaller.

The ball would have to have been blown back over the Xbar before it would be ruled no good.

Although this type of camera sits on the supporting bar, it is behind the plane of the goal, so any kick hitting it would be good, under all levels of play.

The NFL requires that a successfully kicked FG/XP must touch some object behind the goal in order to be good, High School ball does not. Thus, if a strong wind blew a kicked ball that had traveled through the goalpost back into the end zone, but under the crossbar, in the NFL it's no good, in High School it's good.

It would also be good under NCAA rules if blown back under the crossbar.
