I have been searching for a pair of cold weather gloves for quite some time. Someone tell me where to go. I want a pair that will keep my hands warm but will allow me to grip the ball.

Golf gloves

I work flag and regular Football late into November and December in Indiana. I have found that normal football gloves have a couple of problems, first it is hard to find all black ones, and if you do, they still have writing and padding all over them, or they are "over-tackified." I tried winter golf gloves this year and they have worked out pretty well; they are all black with a red W on it and a ball marker (could be used when you need to spot the ball LOL), they come in pairs and still have a sticky palm, but not over sticky.

I don't have a pair, but honigs (www.honigs.com) or +POS (www.pluspos.com) both carry insulated gloves that are made specifically to help you keep warm and grip the ball. A couple of guys I know have them but I haven't tried them myself. They're a bit costly though.

I went to a bicycle store last year and picked up a pair that are black with gray trim.

They are excellent allowing me to handle the ball and run the clock on my wrist without removing them.

I wear a pair of Nike Men's Off-Field Speedtack III. The entire bottom-side is leather, providing decent grip on the ball. They're fleece-lined and provide good warmth. You can get them from http://www.eastbay.com
