To any official -
I officiate HS football in NC. I was curious what game fees some other officials get for their games in other states.
In a varsity game in NC in our booking area - we use 5 officials and get a flat game fee of $60.00 each.
For JV's we get $50.00.
What are some fees from other areas?
Thanks for your replies.

In Texas the varsity fee is based on gate proceeds. Depending on where the game is held you can also be paid meal fees. The driver gets an additional .28 a mile round trip. Largest I have received was $200. There is a state minimum of $30. Most checks are in the 58 to 118 range.

We use 5 man crews.

Sub-varsity in my area pays $34 for 1 game. If there are 2 games at the same site, you get $50. $65 for 3 and $80 for 4.

Yes, I work football and basketball for the SAOA. In fact, I'm waiting for a phone call this afternoon to find out where we're going Friday night, for the first round of the playoffs.

I lived in Greensboro for a year and a half but I knew I wasn't going to be there long enough to join the North State.

Check out our association web site at http://www.saoa.faync.com.

Take care, Bill. Drop me a line via email if you get a chance.

The breakdown goes like this for the association:
1st round - 8 games
2nd round - 4 games
3rd round - 2 games
1 Eastern Regional Championship Game (7 man crew)
1 State Championship Game (7 man crew)
A total of 15 games.

We have 14 crews in the association but only the top 9 or 10 will get at least one game. Our crew typically gets 2 games. Whoever is fortunate enough to get Chapel Hill will probably get 3.

Suffolk County Long Island fees are:

Varsity - $93/game -- 4 man crew

JV - $72/game -- 3 man crew

Junior High - $56.50/game -- 3 man crew

Junior High can include an extra period for an additional 25 percent over the base fee, or, the game can be a scheduled 5 "quarter" game with a 20 percet add-on.

Our regular season is only 8 games but does include 2 weeks of pre-season scrimmages that are paid according to the aforementioned schedule.
