Nike Hoops Summit

Hey Camron - I thought you might have been at the Nike Hoops Summit game last night since it was played here in Portland. I watched it on TV and kept looking for you in the bleachers, but when I didn't see you, I figured you must have been in a luxury suite. :-)

Anyway, the organizers must have told the officials to "let them play" because this was one of the most physical games I've seen in a long time. I think the officials must have set a new world's record for "no-calls". Quite a few players wound up on the floor and I think one guy got a pretty bad poke in the eye.

Oh well, what do you expect from a game sponsored by a company that fights to stay out of being annexed into the city of Beaverton? (note - personal situation here in Oregon)

Not surprising with who was working them. One of them that I know was on it refuses to call the new hand checking guidelines. His games tend to be very physical all the time.

One official was a friend of mine. Funny, there was one kid playing for the World Team whose younger brother was playing in the Nike complex here. They look just alike, except one is 7', the other about 6'8.

Their last name is Maker. They both play for the CIA Bounce out of Canada.

BNR - By the way, I don't think you missed a play all weekend !!!!!
