Tony Greene

Where's Tony Greene?

big jake Sun Mar 22, 2015 03:34pm

Several names not on the list this year, they might have took the test or filled out the security info ?

AremRed Sun Mar 22, 2015 08:43pm

No Tony Greene, who worked a regional final last year.

No Bo Boroski who took the year off after losing all his Big 10/MAC/Summit games.

No Karl Hess for obvious reasons.

No Ted Valentine.

Was just about to post this. Ted chose to sit out the tournament this year due to his ailing brother.

His brother has passed away since this article was written, I believe.

Tony Greene is the one that caught my attention. I'm would think there's a legitimate reason he's not working (not anything performance-based).

crosscountry55 Sun Mar 22, 2015 09:04pm

Was Bo Boroski the official who got caught up in the DI assignment software access "breach"?

Yeah, he worked the SEC tournament final seven days ago and doesn't even get a game??

Correct.

Also, Les Jones is a tournament regular who was injured during the season.

Raymond Sun Mar 22, 2015 09:22pm

Ole John Higgins had it nice, working all weekend in his hometown, plus getting a MVC/Big 12 matchup.

Yep, he's the next top dog in the Big 10 having worked the tournament semifinals the past two years.

AremRed Sun Mar 22, 2015 09:34pm

Pretty sure that's Terry Oglesby on the WVU-Maryland game with Tom Eades and Terry Wymer. So I guess John Adams didn't think his tech on the Providence coach was all that bad.

PS: I'm predicting a regional for Oglesby, I think Adams is gonna pick him cuz Adams is going out.

CNYREF Sun Mar 22, 2015 09:41pm

That assignment would have already been given to him before the tech.

Yeah but he could always get it pulled.

The assignments for the Round of 32 games were predetermined. They are not based on the Thursday/Friday games.

That technical foul, even if John Adams were not happy with it, would not be nearly enough to get a game pulled.
