Sounds LIke Kersey is a solid guy who helps others out and has paid his dues and made an early impact on your officiating career:)

When I first got into officiating he used to hold 2 high school camps every summer. It was rather informal, but I for one soaked up what he used to say. First thing I remember him doing was showing a fight from one of his CAA games and explaining why the Center and new Lead have to be engaged with off-ball coverage during transition.

That was my first thought when I saw the post saying he would work the final. To a lesser degree, the same thing happened to Curtis Shaw several years ago before he took the supervisor position. At this point, I'd be surprised if Derosa isn't named JA's replacement. But, I've been surprised before...

Was hoping Keith Kimble would get a Final Four.

Not surprised Higgins got another one, him and DeRosa are 2 of the best. I'd love to see DeRosa get the national coordinator position.

Also not surprised that Oglesby didn't work past the first weekend, since he had such a bad couple of games

Incorrect. You might have "watched those guys all year" but apparently you didn't see the 8 games where they also called 50 or more fouls.

According to what I have heard they are holding off the announcement because one of the candidates (DeRosa obviously) is still working this season.

Well, 2 of them got their first Final Four assignments ever.

There are also holding off the announcement until they get all the conference supervisors together, which is what happens at the Final Four.

I've heard Adams initially wanted to do the announcement before the start of the tournament so his replacement could shadow him, but obviously DeRosa working deep changed that.

In case anyone forgot, back in December Duke played at Wisconsin during the ACC/Big 10 challenge. Gene Steratore, Lamont Simpson, and Terry Oglesby worked the game and Duke won by 10. I was told a couple days after that nobody wanted to be assigned that game.

Different time. Dekker was just coming back off a major injury and only scored 5 points in 24 minutes.
