I just turn on ESPN Classic. I was flipping thru the channels, between studying for a test. I see Ed Hightower, Eric Harmon and Ted Hillary in gray shirts. The game was in 1991 with Michigan St. at Minnesota. Now I do not remember when they Big Ten or any conference was wearing these gray shirts. We have been talking about gray shirts lately, how long was this allowed? They even showed a highlight from another game that same year, the officials had the same shirts. Was that something allowed all year just in the Big Ten and other conferences that year or around that same time?
I just thought I would share. Peace

For one or two years in the early 90's the Big 10 and a couple other Div. I conferences took it upon themselves to have their officials wear gray for conferences games only. The NCAA nixed it after two years.
