IMO, if 25 had played and scored, there's no question he needs to be added. I'm with Nevada, in that I think this ruling is absurd. I'm not with Nevada, however, in that if 25 hasn't scored or fouled anyone, I'll follow the case listed.

If 25 had played and scored, it would have not been at halftime when the missing name/number was discovered. It would have been noticed when the scorer attempted to record the points in the book for the score.

Fair enough, but I would have thought the same thing about when he entered. Obviously the scorer isn't doing his job, so I'm not willing to discount any possibility.

Why isn't the scorer following the RULE and checking the little box to indicate that #25 played in the 2nd quarter? The scoring of points or committing of a foul is not important BY RULE, participating in the contest is.
