Anyone know why there were only 2 officials on the San Antonio and Houston game tonight?

I do not know the reason but I assume the third referee suffered an injury of some kind.

I watched the first half and all three were there. This morning when I watched the highlights, Bennett Salvatore was not there for the 2nd half. Assuming an injury.

Just read on Reuters that Bennett Salvatore suffered a first half hamstring injury and did not return.
