Back on track

I hesitate to do this as most of the posts are judging someone else strengths and weaknesses rather than listing their own. But anyway, back to your original question.

Strengths:
Sell the call.
Help partners call a good game.
Hustle and run the entire game.
Know the rules.

Weaknesses:
I am from old school and all my calls start with the right hand up to stop the clock. I need to be ambidextrous. I notice higher level refs can hold up the hand that points the direction the ball will go. I am working on this, but it is difficult to unlearn my old way.

I get too excited when making a call.

A am getting better at swallowing my whistle.

BTW - she forgot to list "sense of humor" in her strengths. [/B]
Mark,

Her listing of "sense of humor" would have been redundant to us since we know she puts up with...err.. works with you.

Just making suggestions.
Judgments are for evaluators.

Hmmm, seems like so long since I worked that I really have to think about it :)

Strengths:
Presence
Enthusiasm
Good feel for the flow of the game
Worked hard in the off season on conditioning and rules
Good call selection

Weaknesses:
Takes me too long to get into a game
Working with coaches
Conditioning
Talking with players
Too rushed, let game tempo determine my tempo

Personal POE - Communication. Talking with players, controlling game situation by communicating. Communicating with partner. Sigh, communicating with coaches.

OK - here's my five of each.

Strengths:
1) being in control of the game without controlling the game
2) rules knowledge
3) support my partner
4) consistency and dependability
5) tight fitting uniform shows off buns

Weaknesses:
1) schedule too many rec games in a row for myself and get lazy after 4th or 5th
2) tend not to give credibility to player complaints
3) no desire to move up - too content at current status
4) don't like to cross to ball side when lead and ball goes down low
5) tight fitting uniform shows off buns
