From a different angle -

Can you look at this as the wrong player shoots the free throws. It wasn't the coach or players who sent the 'wrong player' to the line.

No you can't. the wrong player implies A1 MUST shoot the FT's and someone other than A1 did. In this case Anyone CAN but no one MUST.
