Potential Game Winner Waved Off
PC foul on a shot that went down and would've been a game winner at the end of OT at Columbia. Thoughts?? It is at 4:15 in the video...
http://www.gocolumbialions.com/Sport...86&SPSID=43668 Edit: Sorry guys, can't get the link to work properly...If anyone is interested it's at 4:15 in the Columbia/Harvard Highlight Video--I realize that's quite the hunt I'm sending everyone on but I can't figure out how to delete the thread... |

PC foul. Not only ran defender over, but also led with the knee.

Great call!

Good call. Any idea what the trail might have been coming in to chat about? |
Gutsy and correct call....quite unlike another recently discussed block/charge video.

PC all the way. Great call by the L

It's Lonely In here...
I think the defender continues moving to his right and slides underneath the airborne shooter, disagree with the PC. I've also watched the replay about 15 times so I certianly can't fault the PC call that was made.

I wish we had a different angle. I watched this over and over and I can see it both ways. Watching only the defender, he does slide to his right (and possibly into the shooter) after the shooter has left the ground. I think this video is too far away to be conclusive, and I don't think there is obvious right call here. In my opinion, the only really bad call would have been a no-call.

Agree with PC. Would have been nice if the official opposite table would have picked up on the rotation a bit sooner so that he potentially could of supported the play a bit more as C. Video makes it appear that Lead had been table side for a while.....
Would also like to see T stay engaged (close down a step or two) with the drive, mainly because the primary defender was involved. I would expect the L to hold for at least a secondary cadence on this play, especially considering the crash was high post. |
