I got hit, too, but mine never came back on until after 9:00am the next morning.I read somewhere that NY and Michigan were the worst hit,so Mick might have had problems in the U.P. I also read somewhere that they now think that the problems originated in the Ohio grid. Larksy, you didn't happen to plug in all of your marital aids at the same time, did ya? Bad Larksy! Bad,bad Larksy!! :D

Another theory was that Judge Crater moved to the U.P., and to this day,is occasionally sighted refereeing basketball games, umpiring baseball games,or catching every damn fish in sight. That might just be a local legend U.P. there, though. Something like Bigfoot or the Yeti. :D

I spent the week on the beautiful Cape of Cod. We did not lose power there, but my family did contribute to the deaths of many lobsters and countless oysters. The power outage gave us something to talk about on the ride home.

That eliminates my theory as to where the electrical problem started.

Why aren't Cod eaten at Cape Cod?

They've pretty well confirmed Cleveland,Ohio,as the area where the problem originated.

The fresh cod's good too, my son had it for dinner one night.

BTW, an absolutely awesome thunderstorm passed by late Wedensday afternoon...about an hour after the kid & I finished our kayak journey. When we got home the lawn needed cutting...proof that grass does not need electricity to grow.
