To stat guy (loudly): "That's enough from you" followed by "Coach, your assistants do not have the same privileges that you have". Everybody on that bench, the scorer's table, and the first couple of rows of will know what's going on.

Most rational people who act an a$$ do so because no one ever calls them out on it. Most rational people who act an a$$, and get confronted about their behavior, are contrite in the aftermath. I have often received apologies from players, coaches, and bench personnel. When they do apologize, my response is always "It's no big deal, I used to do the same thing" or something to that effect.

This approach works for me, not saying it works for everybody.

Say Five Hail Marys ...

We had an official who ejected the priest on the bench of a D-II Catholic college. Those Benedictines are so damn uppity.

I threw a priest out of a CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) baseball game (I think 7th graders?) a few years back when I lived in the Philadelphia area haha.

I ran one when I lived in Indy. CYO basketball is/was then a pretty big deal.

Side note: As a Catholic myself no fans are more brutal and uninformed than Catholic grade school/middle school parents.
