Sideline Drive

I am Trail tableside and Lead Opposite Table..

A1 driving down sideline and crashes with B1 below FT throw and sideline adjacent. As The T I am Straight-Lined due to tight space.

1) Should the Lead get this play since below FT and its coming at them? I am straight-lined and trailing play, so Lead would have a better view since playing coming at them.

Thoughts?

From your description it sounds as if the play is very near the sideline, not in the FT lane.
Unless this play is during transition, you cannot expect help from the Lead in 2-man. You MUST handle this play!
Unfortunate if you don't have a good look, but that's the way it goes. Consider stepping into the court when the drive goes parallel with the sideline.

Even if L has crossed over, s/he's watching post play, and maybe elbow screens. S/he's not looking at the drive on the far sideline.

This is T's play all the way.

This is why three is better than two. If you cant get a good angle going wider OOB, than get one the other way. It may not be optimal putting yourself further in the field of play, but it is what it is. If a crash happens someone has to have something. JMO.... And like Bob said this is all you.

Damn, you're good. I always thought only Jon Deibler was capable of such feats.

And with that, you're trading one thing for another. Once you move off the line into the court on this play, you lose some visibility of the line and the ability to make an OOB call. And getting far enough into the court to have a good angle is likely to put you in the middle of other play. It is a tough situation any way you slice it.
