Anyone have a ruling on girls/boys with these ear modification, do they have to take the loop out or no?

They weren't born with them in their ears. It's jewelry, it's an earring. Yes, they have to take it out.

Well, they don't have to take them out, but if they don't they can NOT play.

I had to deal with this in our first scrimmage this year. The girl had a huge hole in each earlobe with a flexible rubber thing in there to...well...I'm not sure what the purpose was. We told the coach it won't be allowed in games - it's still jewelry. And it's just a PITA to deal with this kind of nonsense.

EDIT: Just got word that the state (TX) has ruled these are illegal. That makes it easy to deal with.

"Coach, your player has two choices. She can choose to remove the jewlery, or she can choose to not participate in today's game."
