are the teams enititeld to warm up between the peroids?
i mean between the first and the second peroid and between the third and fourth peroid?
in the FIBA rules book there is nothing about that situation.what will be you'r call in this situation?

David, the rules that we work with-NFHS rules for high school and NCAA rules for college games-both prohibit warming up except between halves.Basically, they say that you can't practise when the ball is dead. That means no practise between quarters, during time-outs,stoppages for injuriesetc,

David, halves = half a game. The universities play 2 X 20 minute halves,or periods. They can practise between the 2 periods, but not at any other time. The high schools play 4 X 8 minute quarters,or periods. They can only practise between the 2nd and 3rd quarters, which again is half of the game.I don't have any idea if FIBA has a rule to cover this, but you might want to check under "Duties of officials",if they have such a section in the FIBA rulebook.

Make sense now?

David, there are only 2 minutes between 1st and 2nd quarters and between 3rd and 4th quarters. I have never seen players do any warmups as they are usually too busy talking with coach. If it is not in the FIBA rulebook, it does not apply.
