Yesterday in a MAYB game a kid shot the ball, it hit nothing, and he got his own rebound. Nothing unusual except not one player, coach or fan said a word about calling it a travel. I think that might be a first. I felt like I was in the twilight zone.

Sounds like Tony's gonna need to find another source of part-time income.

I believe this is a correctable error, but only if the coach, players, or fans complain about the no-call prior to the next dead ball.

Maybe they were all sleeping at the time?

kinda funny

I had the same call (or lack there of) this weekend. Coach could not believe it wasn't a travel. Even questioned me about it after the game as to why. Even after I explained he walked away thinking I got it wrong.I made a copy of the rule and gave it to the coach the next day to educate him (he was a really nice guy) and he still refused to believe it. I guess so many officals getting it wrong for so many years makes it tough on guys who get it right.

Like the dribble-fumble double dribbles and the bobbling travels. I have had refs that know the rules and they hear more about it than those who get it wrong.
