Additional kU v Mich clip request (Video Added)
Sorry didn't request sooner, but there was an interesting block called at 16:50 of the second half, little man got stuck on a big guy who posted him up, offensive guy creates contact on what looks to be a legal defender, looked like a pc, or at least a no call.

My opinion
Watching the clip I think Albrecht did commit a foul on the play, but it was at the moment of the catch, not on the shot. The defensive player turned into him while he had defensive position. The issue is where he had the position.
The only reason I think it is a block call is because Albrecht was out of his visual field when the contact occurred. Overall I have seen a lot of block charge call issues in the NCAA tourneys. The officiating seems very inconsistent with what is being called, not called, and ruled a play on. |

Doesn't look like a block to me.
However, the lead's arm went up twice. Maybe it was the initial contact that he started to call, hesitated, then decided to get.

Rotated late.
I don't have a foul early on because there was no disadvantage. White 34 got the ball without extra effort. In fact, the effort needed was so minimal, it would barely register on the effortometer. The end zone view makes it tough to defend a blocking foul call, imho, and easier to suggest a PC.

Agree that a push could have been called on the defense on the entry pass, but I don't disagree with letting them play through that. I'm still not sure what the D did wrong here on teh shot.

Please, don't confuse a principle regarding screening and the actions of a defender guarding a ball-handler.
