It looks as though O'Neill just watched the shooter the whole way as opposed to looking at the defense (i.e., where the shooter was going). It definitely seems like there was some hesitation on his part with the call.

I think this is a harder play to referee in real-time. When we have video, it is a lot more clear, but the correct foul was a block.
Someone else mentioned that the lead official picked up the defender late and I agree. I think he isn't wide enough as lead to get a look at the whole play. |
