Video Request: Kansas vs. Iowa State

I want to see the play with 4.9 in the second half (might go overtime at the time of this posting).

Block/charge no call into a foul against an Iowa State player on the floor. Big call with seconds.

Peace

Holy crap, four of us all posting at the same time.

Was coming here to request this video and see 4 threads already.

Looked like a PC that was no-called and then a foul for hitting the arm with the passer when both players were on the floor.

C or L has to have a whistle on the block/charge play, which again looked like a PC to me

Since the L wasn't ballside, I'd think the C would be the perfect official to get that one. Looked like a fairly easy PC to me and Kansas is now running away with the game in OT.

It looks like the Jayhawks are going to likely win this game, but it should not have gone that way IMO. Usually never say anything about calls, but that fouls should have been called either way.

Peace

That was a PC, all the way, and when they passed on that one, for whatever reason, they sure should have passed on the really weak call after that.

I bleed JayHawk blue and I gave myself a headache when I slapped the back of my head for the PCF signal and was absolutely shocked when no foul was called.

Should definitely have been a PC. Now Iowa State is going to lose in OT.

Also the foul which Bert Smith charged to #40 Young was clearly committed by #5 Withey and would have been his 5th. This was with about 15 seconds left.
C'mon Bert, one guy is white and one is black. This couldn't have been a mix up. It had to be an attempt to give it to the nearby player who isn't considered to be as important to the team.

I really agree. He called the slap and miss and not the contact that actually took place.

Peace

+1. It wasn't even close. They really struggled at the end of the game. Always hear people say to let the kids decide the game. Well in that game they did, but the officials failed to do their job.

And that dunk was bad at the end too.

Peace

I couldn't pretend to hold O'Neill's jock, but he missed two really badly -- this one and a PC foul he called earlier that was an easy blocking call.

JRutledge Mon Feb 25, 2013 11:40pm

Well considering that they make such a big deal of the Lead making this call at that level, I am surprise no one made this call. Absolutely shocked. It was in the lane and everyone passed on this play.

Peace

Yeah, that was pretty bad too.

Happens to all of us but those were two that were not really close IMO. And that no call at the end had a MAJOR impact on the outcome of the game.

They just showed it on SportsCenter again.

The L was in the wide angle position and didn't close down at all. Anchored in the same spot the entire play.

The C (O'Neill) planted himself outside the arc and didn't step down at all on the drive -- he wasn't prepared to officiate it at all, it appeared.

I'm not interested in ripping these guys -- I just want to learn from it so I can remember these things in my next game.
