long shot 3pts or 2

saw a you tube clip of a high school girls game. with 15 sec left a girl heaves the ball from the backcourt around the free throw line. the try bounced at her front court FT line and bounced in to the basket. it was awarded as a 3pt shot but wouldnt when it bounced the ball have gained the status where it bouched?

Kind of. The try ends once the ball hits the floor. At that point, it just becomes a stray, bouncing ball, which, if it happens to go through the hoop off of a bounce, is only worth 2 points, even if the last place it touched the floor was outside the 3 point line.

As pointed out by JRut with the link provided, the play has already been discussed.
