Mich vs Mich st

Can someone post the PC called on Michigan early in the 2nd half? It was in the backcourt.

APG Tue Feb 12, 2013 10:52pm

You're going to have to get more specific then that.

Block on the initial shot. Undercutting a shooter like that is a great way to hurt someone.

PC after the inbounds.

Agreed.

On an interesting note, the T uses the actual PC signal.

Just kind of swings the left arm out to point... I would much rather do (or see) a good punch here, just my opinion I guess.

He's trying to point the direction, which is behind him.

the comment was (I think) meant to indicate that the official used the "behind the head" mechanic that was demeaned (by many, but not all)here a week or so (?) ago.

That is correct.

Is it still the by the book mechanic to use the hand behind the head on PC fouls in NF?

Welpe Wed Feb 13, 2013 03:31pm

Yes.

And it's still used more on the NCAA-Men's side than the punch is.

That's because behind the head is still the official rule book PC signal for NCAAM. The punch is the rule book signal for NCAAW.

Clear undercut by the defender on the shot.

Second part is a charge at all levels except the NBA.

Well since you said it, what is the NBA rule?
