I hate that stupid spin move. Travel before the foul.

The contact by W3 did not cause the violation.

I don't think that has anything to do with OP, foul was called on 3, before anything else occurred.

Watching it again, I would say the contact occurred just a little before the travel, so Roger got it right.

Huh? W3 is the primary defender. Contact by him would have been the only possible justification for the foul.

Foul before the travel

JRutledge Sun Feb 03, 2013 01:39pm

I can live with the foul before the travel. It is so close I am not going to nitpick one over the other.

Peace

foul then travel.

Easy travel call for the trail who had nothing else going on in his primary. If we have a double whistle then the trail tells the C that the travel came first.

If the foul was called on #3, then it's clearly a foul first.

I can see it both ways. The problem is that he called the hold REALLY late so the travel had already occurred.

Since when is it desirable to have a fast whistle? When a coach tells me we had a "late call", I don't know if I should thank him for noticing....

I heard the "That was a late whistle" twice from a HC in a game a few weeks ago. I ignored him but wanted to turn and thank him for the compliment.

When they say, "Oh, that was a late whistle!" in my book it's the same as saying "Good call!" because if they didn't like the call they would be saying that.

I've been known to say something like that when it's a coach I know pretty well.
