Another T or no T
Varsity coach sitting on JV bench to official during timeout: "Are you reffing the next game?"
Official: "No." Coach: "Thank GOD!" |
I would pop him. He is an Asst. coach if he is seated on the bench during a game. Would you let an Asst. say this to you?
|
Whack him. Blatantly personal. We would never be expected to say something like this to a coach, so they aren't getting away with it either, especially as an assistant.

This one is easy. |

In your situation I have no problem with a T. Also have no problem if an official decided not to 'T'. |
Whack - he'll learn.
|
T. Every time. More bothered that you had to ask, really. This one should be automatic.

No T.....

Thanks for the input. I personally would T it up, but I'm also with twocentsworth and BadNewsRef. I'm not going to lose sleep over someone else not tagging this one. |

A few seasons ago I worked a regional final at a school outside of my area. The home team was a defending state champion and of course had never seen me before.
After a couple calls he didn't like the home coach started to ask me a question, "You do realize..." I cut him off right there and said "Don't ask me a question that's going to get you in trouble". I could see the wheels spinning as he considered whether or not to continue but he thought better of it and turned away. Honestly, I'm not sure what I would have done had he finished the question. |
